Not an updo like you would fix your hair for your prom or a wedding, but an updo like a new look, a new life, and new direction for an old hanging bookshelf. I guess you could say I “upcycled” it.

I found this sad little scuffed up box shelf at a garage sale recently, and paid a whopping $2 for it.

I knew I could give it a new look and a new life hanging in our guest bedroom.

I used Americana DECOR Chalky Finish paint, available at Home Depot in stores and online, plus some fun Americana stencils.
