Who says holiday colors need to be only the classic red and green? I say, you can create your own holiday color scheme when decorating this season. I created a cool new holiday color scheme with hot pink, bright greens and aqua blue. Normally these colors wouldn’t be considered “holiday”, but since I’m decorating standard seasonal symbols like snowflakes and using glittery jingle balls, it works!
And it give a whole new hip holiday look!
I created these easy snowflake ornaments with just a few supplies:
- Snowflake wood embellishments (I found mine at my local Michael’s)
- Americana® Multi-surface SATIN™ acrylic paints in Flamingo pink, Leprechaun green, Coastal waters blue
- Brightly colored jingle balls
- Baker’s twine in coordinating colors
These were the easiest ornaments to customize and make! First I painted the wood snowflake in my hot paint colors and let dry.
Then I simply tied pretty baker’s twine at the top to create an ornament hanger and then at the bottom to attach the pretty jingle bells.
So cute!
Now they are ready to hang on our tree or embellish a pretty present!
