My crafty tween and I got a little crafty this past weekend, and wanted to share how easy it is to use this fancy tape:

 

To design and personalize our Spring planters, I started with inexpensive planters in fun colors that I found at my local Target recently.

Supplies I used:

• Solid colored plastic or ceramic planters
• FrogTape® ChevronShape Tape™
• Americana Multi-Surface Satin Neon Paints and Silver
• Scissors
• Sponge brushes

 

And this is step-by-step how we created these pretty planters:

STEP 1: Plan out your design, and cut strips of FrogTape® Shape Tape™ to size, leaving excess to fold over any edges.

STEP 2: Apply your strips of FrogTape® Shape Tape™ on your surface making sure to securely press your tape into place. Pick out your paint colors.

STEP 3: Use a sponge brush to paint up to and over the edge of your FrogTape® Shape Tape™ design.

STEP 4: Before paint is dry, carefully peel off FrogTape® Shape Tape™ to reveal your design.

STEP 5: Let the paint dry on your pot.

What makes FrogTape® Shape Tape™ so special?

ONE – it’s shaped! I tried the chevron, but you can also try the curvy design.

TWO – it’s the only tape with treated with PaintBlock® Technology. PaintBlock is a super-absorbent polymer which reacts with latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, preventing paint bleed.

I love how our painted Spring planters turned out. And none of our designs were the same. We got some really pretty results and cool chevron designs.

And talking about the sharp lines…

… and the neon paints were the perfect Spring palette to create these one-of-a-kind planters.
