I’m throwing a party with plastic eggs today!

Plastic eggs can be used for so much more than just in a neighborhood Easter egg hunt. Check out this super simple and festive craft to hang in a window, as a room decoration, or outside your front door.

With just a few easy steps, you can turn a basket of plastic eggs into a festive decoration.

The only thing you will need are plastic eggs, of course, but make sure they are the kind that have two holes at the bottom of egg. This is usually because of the way they are molded.

I also used Creatology Glitter Stretch Cord, that I found at my local Michaels.

Then, it is just a matter of stringing them together, linking they through the holes in the bottom.

I fed one end of the cord through the first hole, opened up the egg and fed it through the second hole out of the egg. Then I closed the egg bag up and repeated with more eggs.

I strung 11 eggs together, but you can try more or less eggs if you prefer. I tried different number combinations, but 11 eggs gave me a nice full party plastic egg “globe”.

I finished up this easy craft by tying the two ends of the cord together in the middle creating the party globe shape. Then I added a pretty blue ribbon for hanging my decorative Easter egg globe.

The question is, where should it go?

it makes a really pretty and festive hanging decoration. It’s light enough that I just used a push pin to attach it to the ceiling.

Or it can be a fun alternative to a traditional wreath as a door decoration.

Lovely! So buy extra plastic eggs to decorate your home with, or this is a fun way to reuse plastic eggs after the Easter festivities are done.
